Lisa is a board-certified, licensed-graduate mental health counselor and pastoral counselor. Lisa's area of specialization is treating issues related to grief and loss, end-of-life concerns, and late-life transitions for older adults and their families.
Lisa received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University and her Bachelor of Science from the College of Human Resources at the University of Delaware.
Lisa trained at Stella Maris, an affiliate of Mercy Health Services. Stella Maris provides a continuum of care for older adults in Timonium, with programs supporting adults independent living through hospice care.
Lisa volunteered for Stella Maris Hospice Care and found her calling. She continued to devote her studies to grief and loss, and end-of-life concerns. Lisa worked as a bereavement counselor and mental health practitioner for the Counseling Center at Stella Maris, while also providing church-based community mental health programs.
Lisa is a member if the American Counseling Association, Association of Adult Development and Aging, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors of Maryland. She is the recipient of the Loyola University Master of Science Award in Clinical Excellence
Lisa Boxall created Mindful Transitions Counseling, Inc., which focuses on grief and loss, end-of-life concerns, and late-life transitions for older adults and their families.

Share with and find support among others grieving the loss of a loved one. Groups meet weekly for six weeks.
Enlighten your faith or residential community on the unique and individual nature of grief and the process of grieving. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the fluidity and cycle of grief and loss.
